It’s getting easier and simpler to find reduced large screens today, both for tvs and computer monitors. With all the new technologies available for display devices, the old developments are cheaper than ever. If you can endure the size and large size, you can get really low-priced large screens for much less than just a handful of years ago. The really expensive screens nowadays are all LCD or plasma tech, which has made less demand for the older CRT stuff. Don’t worry if you don’t understand the tech talk – it’s kind of like someone with a personal trainer certification understanding more about fitness terms.
I don’t truly mind the bulk so much. For my part, I think I’d much prefer to have a economical large screen CRT TV or monitor than a more expensive, smaller LCD or plasma display. Looking on Sharps home page, for instance, I see a lot of great deals there. Of course the down side is you have to pay for shipping, which can be a lot for such a big item. For this reason I don’t ordinarily buy things like low-priced large screens via the web, but use it mainly just to get a feel for current pricing trends.
One of my favorite places to check out affordable large screens is at Costco, or other warehouse style wholesalers. Costco doesn’t truly ever have a huge selection, but they’ve always got at least a couple models of just about anything you’d ever want in. I don’t generally go to Costco just to get something like a cut-rate big screen TV but whenever I’m there – for instance, for medication that helps with how to get rid of cold sores – I certainly look at what they have.
Fry’s electronics is another high-quality store to check out if you have one near you. Regrettably, I don’t, so I have to drive for nearly an hour to get to one. Whenever I find myself near one, however, I always make a quick stop inside to see what kind of deals they have. I always see a fairly big selection of economical large screen TVs and monitors whenever I’m in there, and their prices are always in line with everything I see on the net, so I think they’re a pretty solid store to start with if you can.
